FSC Certification

The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international organisation of forest certification based in Bonn, Germany. Additionally, the organisation consists of numerous working groups in 43 countries. At present, 68 Mio hectares of global forest, therefrom 500.000 hectares of forest in Germany are certified with label FSC.  

FSC labelled products pass through a long process of transformation and trading from the logging road to the final customer. This process is called “Chain of Custody”. Each participant within this chain is registered with a CoC-No. (Chain of Custody Number). The continuity of the “Chain of Custody” is examined by independent auditors. Due to the certification of the “Chain of custody” it is guaranteed that timber products labelled FSC are originating from a certified forest.     

FSC Certification of “Rettenmeier Timber Industry Wilburgstetten GmbH & Co KG”

The company „Rettenmeier Timber Industry Wilburgstetten“ is certified for the purchase of kiln-dried timber, the production and trading of planed products, as well as the production of laminated timber and other timber products.

According to the body of certification SGS-ICS “Association of Certification mbh” and environmental experts the company „Rettenmeier Timber Industry Wilburgstetten“ operates  in conformity with FSC guidelines.
According to an independent audit, conducted by the company SGS, it has been proven that the CoC-system complies with FSC standards.

FSC Certification of „Rettenmeier Baltic Timber S.I.A“

The company „Rettenmeier Baltic Timber S.I.A“ is certified for the production of sawn timber and laminated panels. According to the body of certification “Smartwood” the company „Rettenmeier Baltic Timber S.I.A“ manages the ingoing and outgoing volumes in conformity with FSC guidelines.
According to an independent audit, conducted by the company Smartwood, it has been proven that the CoC-system complies with FSC standards.
