Description of the property:
A new residential quarter K6.1 was created in the south-west of the Darmstadt district of Kranichstein, between Fasaneriemauer and the residential community.
The D South development area was placed at the disposal of the Living Style consortium of owners. 3 groups of houses were built here consisting of two lots of 6 terraced houses and one lot of 8.
The design included a two-floor development of the low-energy wooden panel type with a slightly sloping, greened pent roof. The main idea behind the construction project was to do justice to individual residential and living space while using environmentally friendly materials and being cost-effective. Three varied types of home facilitate overlapping and individual living for families, singles and other lifestyles. The frontage design achieved by using highly varied materials (plaster, wood, fibre cement) and different window formats is characteristic of townhouses and expresses individual living. The colourful approach follows a colour concept reconciled to each other to the finest detail – front doors could be selected from a previously chosen range of colours. The active area is on the ground floor, open living, meeting area and living space with opening to the garden in the south. The individual area is on the upper floor: flexible and variable with full daylight.
