New seedlings and young trees

Career News

On 1 September 2020, a new phase of life began for nine young people who, after leaving school, decided to take up an apprenticeship at rettenmeier® in Wilburgstetten.

This year, our board member Dr Stephan Lang, together with our HR manager Ms Lindenmeier, welcomed nine motivated and happy trainees to our headquarters in Wilburgstetten. During their first introductory week, the nine new trainees had already gained in-depth insights into the various areas of the rettenmeier® company and got to know their new colleagues. During their training, they will get to know the operational processes in the various departments and then independently take care of exciting areas of responsibility.

Whether in our production, in the warehouse or at the workplace: First aid can save lives in an emergency - but how many of us can remember our first aid course? Our new seedlings were able to acquire the relevant knowledge at a company first aid course at the Red Cross and as a result can now react appropriately in an emergency - as company first aiders. Our safety officer also showed them how to operate the fire extinguishers correctly - so our trainees know what to do in the event of a fire and can react appropriately in the event of an emergency. We wish our trainees all the best with their new "training" project and will support them wherever we can - because we take help for granted.

There was also reason to celebrate for our eight former apprentices.

This year, everyone was able to complete their training according to plan and despite difficult COVID-19 conditions, and were duly congratulated and presented with gifts from our Board of Management at a celebratory farewell. Our former apprentices have been taken on by us and are now an integral part of our rettenmeier® family. This demonstrates our motivation to promote young talent in every respect and encourages us to continue to be a great employer, with a preference for wood.
