The Pfälzerwald is not only the largest contiguous forest area in Germany. The region is also known for the largest Douglas fir stocks in the country. Douglas fir is the No. 1 garden wood and also the coniferous wood that best copes with changing climatic conditions. It is increasingly becoming an alternative to spruce and will also substitute it in many areas in the future. 

In addition to a short and long timber yard, saw line, sorting plant, drying and a CHP plant, we produce a wide range for the specialist and retail trade in Ramstein on a total of three planing lines. With a cut of approx. 250,000 cbm Douglas fir p.a., the focus is on our rettenmeier® outdoor wood products, which are very popular in almost all DIY and DIY stores in Europe.
