The good wood qualities of the central mountain region provide optimal conditions for the production of high-quality construction products at our site in Hirschberg/Thuringia.

Following the reunification of Germany in 1990, our company was also faced with the decision to become involved in the new federal states. It was certainly no coincidence that Hirschberg was chosen as the location. Because the border region of Thuringia and Bavaria has almost unique conditions in terms of both the quantity and the quality of our raw material. The raw materials catchment area, which covers the Thuringian forest, the Saxon Vogtland, the Bavarian Franconian forest and the Fichtel Mountains, offers outstanding conditions for high-quality, construction timber.

In addition to short and long timber yards, a saw line with an annual average of 800,000 cbm and two CHP plants, we will produce 140,000 cbm KVH as well as 70,000 cbm BSH from 2021. We distribute our products primarily via specialist dealers under our Zunftholz brand.
