DURABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY:

THE MATERIAL GCC

GCC (German Compact Composite) is a wood-based material with a very high proportion of natural fibres. The principle "Cradle to Cradle" is followed holistically, i.e. a high level of material health is the primary objective and thus the recyclability of the material and its return to the recycling cycle. In this way, our GCC decking boards contribute to natural and sustainable building.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® by the independent Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is the world's most advanced science-based, multi-attribute certification programme for designing, manufacturing and verifying materials and products that are safe, circular and responsibly produced.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® products receive their certification based on their performance in five critical areas of sustainability: material health, (material) circularity, renewable energy, water management and social responsibility.

The products are manufactured without harmful chemicals. All ingredients are captured throughout the supply chain and investigated for their impact on human health and the environment.

The products are recyclable. The components are designed to be biodegradable or to be used as a technical nutrient for new products.

The products are manufactured in a climate-friendly way. Production is supplied with renewable energies and unavoidable CO2 emissions are offset.

Water is recognised as a valuable resource. All wastewater from the production process has drinking water quality and water catchment areas are protected.

Human rights and the integrity of natural systems are respected. Business processes are responsibly and ethically designed to positively impact people and the environment.

The product is assigned a certification level for each category (bronze, silver, gold, platinum). The lowest certification level among the five categories determines the overall certification level of the product.
